To start building mathematical models, we need to setup the IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio Community Edition in our machine.
Download CPLEX Studio
CPLEX Studio Community Edition is free for everyone.
1) Go to IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio Community Edition
2) Register a IBM Account ID.
3) Download CPLEX Studio for Windows or Linux or MacOS.
Install CPLEX Studio
4) Open the downloaded executable file and install.
If you’re using Windows OS, please install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) too.
Run CPLEX Studio
5) Open CPLEX Studio or something called Oplide.
We can perform magic with CPLEX now!
In the coming lessons, we will be learning how to use this CPLEX Studio to solve mathematical programming problems!
